I am a creature of habit. I do things the same way all the time. I have routines and 'procedures' to get through my day and I do this because it works for me. It may seem boring or not exciting, but the benefits are that I never lose anything (knock on wood) and I'm very organised.
It's not that I fear change. I just don't like it. Why change the way I do things if it works? Well, it could be because there's a better way of doing it.
When it comes to permanent makeup, it's on your face and it will last for at least for years, so it's important to get it right. Unfortunately, this isn't easy for everyone to accept. Just because you've been doing your makeup a certain way for years, doesn't mean that it's the best way to do the shape/ colour.
It's important to know that your artist is going to give you the best shape (eyebrows, lips or eyeliner), so you should trust in their abilities. They go through extensive training to ensure that you get the shape that flatters your face. They have taken measurements and looked at the structure of your bones to get it as perfect as they can be. If you don't agree, don't do it.
Your artist will listen to your ideas, but you need to keep an open mind when it comes to their recommendations. In the end of the day, it's your face, but it's in their best interests to make you look as good as they can!
It's important to realise that it's not just a change to your face that you have to get used to. It's a commitment that you'll wake up with everyday. This can be a scary thought to some. If you're not sure, don't do it.
But if you're ready for a new look, change is good!
